Recent ActivityThe Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is one of six regional accrediting associations in the United States.
Don A. Lugo high school is currently a participating member in an ongoing process that meets rigorous, research-based standards that reflect the elements of a quality and effective school. We continue to strive for the highest quality learning experience for all our students. This is accomplished through a clear vision to educate students that will become meaningful and productive members of society.
Don A. Lugo has demonstrated this capacity in the continual improvement of our API scores with a 16.8% improvement since 2003 a 102 point increase in our scores. For 2007, there was a slight dip of 8 points to 670. In 2008 our scores increased by 4 points to 674 maintaining an average of 15% overall increase. Even with this modest gain, we pushed further and harder during 2009 and surpassed our goal of 691 by obtaining a score of 699. for 2010, we continued to improve our score with a modest gain to 710.
